Air Pallets & Platform Transporters

Air Pallets

Air Pallets are an ideal application when loads are of a fixed or standard size and do not overhang the transporter base. Transporter sizes are available in widths as low as 0.9 metre and can be easily customised to suit a specific load requirement. They are particularly useful in a factory and warehouse environment.

Air Pallets are equipped with a push handle assembly at the rear which allows the operator tighter control of the transporter's operational settings.

The push handle assembly houses twin handlebar grips, lever trigger switch to start and stop operations, main inlet from shop air supply and air balancing valves to ensure that all the air bearings are receiving the correct amount of air in relation to the weight of the load and the condition of the floor on which the transporter is operating.

Assembly is simple and connecting the air hoses to the transporter is a straight forward operation using the colour coded air line hoses.

Air Pallets are constructed from an aluminium extrusion which affords lightness of weight and durability combined with a very low profile. These pallets are multi-directional which allows the operator to position the load precisely, especially in confined areas where space is limited.

Aluminium Platform Transporters

Similar to the standard air pallet, platform transporters are an alternative to multiple module systems. These transporters are the perfect solution to moving heavy loads with fixed widths and lengths. They can be customised to your specifications for size and lifting capacities. Sizes start around a metre square.

The main advantage of their air pallet cousins, is that there is no control handle - handle shown is optional - and the air flow controls are located on an inlet manifold at the rear of the unit. Each air bearing has an air flow control valve on the manifold, making adjustments very easy and from one central place.

Also shown is the underside view highlighting the onboard air bearings. The required weight and lifting capacity will determine both the size of the transporter and the air bearings. Platform transporters can be fitted with A-type or B-type air bearings, thus making them a very flexible load moving tool.

Air bearing replacement is a breeze and only involves the removal of a few hex-head bolts. A-type air bearings require only one bolt removal for a quick-change bearing replacement and B-type require just five bolts.

Once the transporter is energised with compressed air, it becomes truly omnidirectional and can safely place its load with pinpoint accuracy and positioning.

Another feature of the aluminium platform transporter is that they can be used in tandem at either end of a longer load, making them a truly versatile load moving tool.
