Low profile is basically the height of the complete skate module before having compressed air applied to it. Low profile kits allow you to slide the modules under loads or machinery that have limited clearance height at their base. For instance, the aluminium high-lift skate module kits have a profile height of around 32mm, which is a fine alternative to their counterparts using regular skate modules with profiles of around 70mm. What Is High-Lift? High-lift skate kits do just that - give your load a higher lift. Most air skate systems contain air powered bearings that lift the load "just enough" to allow it to be floated away on a thin film of air - much like a mini hovercraft. This is fine for most types of load. However, Rotair Systems' diverse range of air skate kits offer the user much greater control and many more options. The high-lift kit has the ability to lift the load up to 75mm off the ground vertically before floating it away. This kit allows users to lift their loads vertically away on customized pallets, or from low-height timber or dunnage, before moving away. A tremendous addition to your load moving equipment. What Is Low Weight Capacity? Most air powered bearings contained in kit systems need to have a certain amount of weight placed on them to ensure they work to their optimum performance. However, there are times when our kit systems are called upon to handle light-weight loads that cannot be moved by other equipment. Such loads could be in "clean room" situations or delicate machinery. Enter the low profile stainless steel kit system where loads as light as ½ tonne can easily be handled safely and securely in a cost-efficient manner.
